Also it compacts down even smaller than a sleeping bag which is simply 6 x 7 inches, thus in the event the children do not want to carry along the camping gear they could always just carry the sleeping bags. For additional protection, there is an extra $70 for Kammock’s rainfly. My only two qualms are that a vehicle with large non-fixed tires can be rather unstable when the children are wobbling around. And the recommended rainfly costs almost three times more than the lightweight shelter.
